Description

Treking Akihabara is a card shop on the basement floor of HULIC&New AKIHABARA, a comparatively new, tidy commercial building over toward Suehirocho — a contrast to Akihabara's many older multi-tenant buildings. You reach B1F by elevator; it's about a three-minute walk from Suehirocho Station on the Ginza Line, and walkable from Akihabara Station too. It centers on Pokemon cards, alongside old-back Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and One Piece. Because it shelves not just current playable singles but old-back cards, there's the added pleasure of browsing for nostalgic pieces. A play space inside lets you try out a deck you've just bought on the spot. The lineup also includes MTG and others, and sealed packs run from current Pokemon to old-back editions. It also runs an online store (Treking ONLINE), so you can search stock online alongside the storefront. The Suehirocho stretch is dotted with card shops, so it folds easily into a wider round of the area. It also suits collectors hunting nostalgic cards like old-back Pokemon.
