Maron's Hideout

// ABOUT THIS SHOP

Maron's Hideout Akihabara occupies the fifth floor of the Sotokanda Kyoueki Building, just off Chuo-dori. Suruga-ya's plastic model shop sits on the 2nd and 3rd floors and Maidreamin on the 4th, so those tenants make handy landmarks on the way up. It's a 4-minute walk from the JR Akihabara Station Electric Town exit, or 2 minutes from Suehirocho Station on the Ginza Line. The shop's standout feature is its focus on arcade trading card games — the cards used in arcade cabinets like Mobile Suit Gundam Arsenal Base, Eiketsu Taisen, Kancolle Arcade, Sangokushi Taisen, and Fate/Grand Order Arcade. While most Akihabara card shops center on Pokémon or Yu-Gi-Oh!, few carry a real range of arcade cards side by side, making this a valuable stop for players juggling several arcade titles at once. It also carries Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! packs and buys cards as well, and runs a mail-order site alongside the physical shop, so it's worth checking stock online before a visit. It suits anyone who wants to sort out cards across several genres in one stop, with arcade cards as the main draw. Many players stop by to restock arcade cards right after a session at a nearby game center, giving the shop a different customer base than a typical packaged-TCG store. Arcade card values can shift quickly with game updates and card revisions, so if there's a specific card you're after, it's worth checking the shop's restock posts on social media too.
