Description

Kaitori Toban Trading Cards Akihabara, on the 5th floor of the Laox Akihabara main store, is built around buying rather than selling or playing. It's about a 3-minute walk from Akihabara Station, tucked inside the well-known duty-free Laox building, so it's easy to swing by after sightseeing — just use the Laox building as your landmark. What sets it apart is that it buys trading cards alongside PSA-graded cards, iPhones, and game consoles at the same counter. It handles titles like Pokémon TCG and One Piece Card Game, but there's no dueling space here — this is strictly a place to sell, not to play. It also appraises unopened, shrink-wrapped TCG boxes, not just loose singles, so it works whether you're selling individual cards or whole sealed boxes. While the head office also accepts mail-in purchases, the Akihabara branch is in-person buying only, and payouts come as cash or bank transfer on the spot. It's open every day, 11:00 to 19:00, so it's easy to stop by even on a weekday. Good for anyone who wants to get cards, an old phone, and a game console all appraised in one trip, or who's touring Akihabara to sell rather than to play.
