Description

Located on the 5th floor of the Hope Building, this is Akihabara's first card-specialty "rental showcase" shop. Opened in March 2025 as a new format from the Pokemon card specialty shop "Ninnin," the spotlight here is on individual sellers rather than the shop itself: people rent a section of an acrylic display case and display and sell their own cards directly. Each case section holds up to 48 cards laid out without overlapping -- the closest comparison is a flea-market app, but conducted in person at a physical counter. Rental contracts run in 3-month terms and renew automatically. Because the stock comes from individual sellers rather than shop-purchased inventory, the sourcing works differently from a typical card shop, which is part of what makes it interesting -- you might come across a long-forgotten collection or pricing that only an individual seller would set. High-value cards are kept in a safe rather than displayed, and since you can pick up and examine the actual card before buying, it also helps reduce concerns about authenticity or condition. Located in the Sotokanda 3-chome area, about a 5-minute walk from Akihabara Station, it works for two different purposes: selling your own collection directly, or hunting for finds from other individual collectors. It also draws on the operational know-how the "Ninnin" brand built up running its own physical stores, applying that experience to make it easier for individuals to list confidently.
