Treasure Hunter is located on the 6th floor of the Toyo Building, about a 7-minute walk from Akihabara Station and roughly 2 minutes from Suehirocho Station. The same building also houses Surugaya's well-known Akihabara Game Center, which makes the upper floor easy to find. The shop opened in February 2024, making it a relatively new addition to the area. Its main strength is buying Pokémon cards, especially unopened "Special Box" items sold exclusively at specific Pokémon Center locations around Japan. The shop posts near-daily buying-price updates for these regional exclusives (from cities like Fukuoka and Hiroshima) on its official X account, so anyone bringing in a region-limited item can check the going rate before visiting. Posts also highlight how quickly items can be appraised on the spot. Credit cards are accepted, so there's no need to carry cash for purchases. There's no duel space here, so this is more of a buy-and-sell spot for regional exclusives than a place to hang out and play. Following the shop's social media helps you catch price jumps on items you're after, and since stock and buying targets change daily, it's worth checking recent posts before bringing cards in.
