Description

Card Kingdom Akihabara Ekimae is a large shop just outside the station, spread over four floors — 1, 3, 4 and 5 — of the Akihabara Nomura Building. On top of being right by Akihabara Station's Electric Town exit, it concentrates new products, supplies and the buying counter on the 5th floor, leaving each other floor to title-by-title singles — a clear, easy layout. Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokémon, Duel Masters, Vanguard and more are sorted floor by floor. Its biggest character is that tournaments run almost daily across several floors. They're held by game on floors 3 to 5, with entry fees of around 100–200 yen — easy to join. There are often several on a weekday and more on Sundays, making it a station-front base for players after a place to duel. Tournament reception and numbered tickets are handled at the 5th-floor register. It's also a registered official Pokémon Card gym, so buy, duel right away, and sell your unwanted cards on that same 5th floor — the whole loop in one stop. It suits people who want to start with a game, or who put being close to the station first.
