Toreka Daimyojin Akihabara Pokemon Card Buying Store

// ABOUT THIS SHOP

This Pokemon-card-only buying specialist sits on the 1st floor of the Kawasaki Building in Sotokanda 2-chome. As the name suggests, it's built around buybacks rather than sales, and it actively takes on cards that other shops sometimes hesitate over -- PSA-graded cards, vintage "kyu-ura" cards, sealed boxes, and rare cards. Alongside the physical shop, they also list items through flea-market apps and online sales, giving people who find it hard to visit in person another way in. Branded as "the friendliest shop in Akiba," it sticks to Pokemon cards only rather than spreading across Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, and other titles, which makes buyback turnaround times more predictable -- one advantage of staying small and specialized. It's closed on Thursdays, and opening hours differ between weekdays and weekends/holidays, so it's worth checking the day before you go. It suits people who want to sell old Pokemon cards that have been sitting in storage, or who want a large batch of cards appraised all at once. The shop itself is small, which means you're dealing directly with staff at close range -- a comfortable setup if it's your first time getting cards appraised. Using the flea-market listing alongside the shop also lets you start a conversation about appraisal outside store hours.
