Card Land Akihabara is the Akihabara branch of Card Land, a chain based in Kamata, on the 3rd floor of the Sotokanda Building — which also houses a model-railway shop. What sets it apart is that it carries older TCGs whose services have already ended — legacy Digimon cards, Gundam War, Crusade and the like — right down to supplies such as sleeves for those retro titles, making it a rarity in Akihabara. Among current titles it handles Battle Spirits, Digimon Card Game, Cardfight!! Vanguard, Shadowverse Evolve, Union Arena, Gundam Card Game and One Piece, answering both people hunting a collectible piece and players of those games. There's a play space in-store, with tournaments held for the relevant titles. Different in flavor from shops that lean only on the majors like Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh!, its strength is legacy and mid-tier titles. A few minutes' walk from Akihabara Station, it's a calm spot on the 3rd floor of the Sotokanda Building, closed on Tuesdays. A shop with a specialist streak, suited to anyone chasing discontinued retro TCGs or wanting to dig into Battle Spirits, Digimon or Vanguard at length.
