Description

Card Shop Azumaya, on the 3rd floor of the Kumagai Building, is a card specialist led by Magic: The Gathering. Close to the Kanda-Myojinshita intersection and run by Azumaya Inc., it also handles overseas games like Flesh and Blood (FaB) and Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) — and its biggest point of difference is being one of the few places in Akihabara where you can buy FaB over the counter. For Magic it covers a wide spread of formats — Standard, Modern, Pioneer, Legacy and Commander (EDH) — while high-value cards are kept under strict guard in a separate safe. With a D&D event held roughly once a month, it has become a natural gathering spot for players with a taste for overseas games. Inside there's a paid play space (a purchase or a seat fee), and while it isn't large, its calm, homey feel for unhurried games has earned it a following. It also handles buying and runs an online store (azumayamtg.com). More about comfort than flash, it suits MTG and FaB enthusiasts.
