Fukufuku Trading Card Akihabara Collection Card Specialty Store

// ABOUT THIS SHOP

This is Fukufuku Toreka's collection-card specialty shop, on the 1st floor of the Kanbayashi Building in Sotokanda 1-chome. Unlike other Fukufuku Toreka branches built around singles for actual play, this one brands itself as "Japan's largest collection card specialty shop," focusing on the more collectible end of Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon cards. It also carries vintage "kyu-ura" Pokemon cards, making it a fit for people after cards to display or keep rather than play with. The way the shop is laid out reflects that too -- less a play-oriented sales floor, more a space built for browsing carefully. There's no duel space here; instead of a place to play, it's set up as a place to take your time choosing well-preserved cards. The shop advertises that its stock goes through professional appraisal, which offers some reassurance if condition is your main concern. It's about a 3-minute walk from Akihabara Station's Denki-gai exit (north side), and the same Kanbayashi Building's 4th floor houses a separate branch specializing in Yu-Gi-Oh! collection cards. This shop suits people looking for cards to display or hold as an asset rather than singles to play with, and its stated approach -- wanting customers to spend "special time in a special space" -- reflects a different sensibility from shops built around dueling.
