CARD WINGS Akihabara Ekimae is one of Akihabara's largest card specialty stores, filling the entire Dai-1 Takarada Building just outside the Electric Town exit of Akihabara Station. Formerly 'Toreka no Doukutsu Tower,' it's notable for how neatly titles are split by floor: the basement holds the buying counter; 1F has Pokemon, Union Arena and new packs; 2F covers One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Duel Masters, Gundam and Digimon; and 3F handles MTG, Vanguard, Weiss Schwarz, Battle Spirits, hololive, and even games like The Quintessential Quintuplets and Love Live! — so you head straight to what you came for. The upper floors hold a large free duel space, including priority seating for women. Official manufacturer tournaments and casual events — entry around 100 yen — run daily, so it's easy to drop in and join a game. Sign-up is on 1F and play is upstairs, a layout that's simple to follow.
