Hobisuteshon Akihabara Honten

// ABOUT THIS SHOP

Hobby Station Akihabara Main Store occupies the second floor of the Mori Building at Sotokanda 1-10-11. It's the Akihabara location of Hobby Station, a nationwide card-game specialty chain with 32 stores across Japan; the operating company, Arclight Inc., became part of the KADOKAWA Group in April 2024 and remains one of the largest store networks in the TCG industry. The store's defining feature is its cross-title lineup, covering multiple trading card games rather than focusing on just one. Alongside rare cards, it puts real effort into stocking the common cards essential for deck-building, and its knowledgeable staff are on hand to give in-person advice on building or refining a deck. Its customer base ranges from first-time card game players to veterans juggling several titles at once. A 32-seat duel space lets customers test out newly purchased cards or look for an opponent on site. For players who want to explore several card games at once — or who are looking to pick up a new title — the sheer breadth of options here is the shop's biggest draw, and the stability of being part of a nationwide chain is reassuring for first-time visitors, too.
